Here it is again: Central #Libya/Sidra Bay strategic map showing recent action around Berga: http://yfrog.com/h08ggwj
@SayNoToGaddafi He already has human shields. How do you think he's getting generals & air captains to comply? He has their families.
@vzlamultimedia He already has one. His name is Baghdadi Mahmudi (no relation)
Did you notice that Gaddafi is attacking with mercenaries, reservists and even old people? Is he out of soldiers? #Libya
@FunGuerillaz A bunch of stingers in Tajura will make Mitiga airport completely useless for Gaddafi.
@TerryBubble I think, give the revolutionaries a bunch of stingers, and they'll achieve a no-fly zone on their own in no time...
@ArmchairArab Not really. It's probably a good strategy to dissipate his forces. He obviously sucks at attacks.
If I was a commander in the east, I'd bait a Gaddafi attack deep into my territory. Best way to decimate his forces. #Libya
Zliten: Helping us liberate our city will also secure Misurata since they are attacking from here. #Libya
Zliten: We call upon our brothers in Misurata to assist us to liberate our city which is under occupation. #Libya
Zliten: We declare that we are joining the national council formed in Benghazi unconditionally... #Libya
Zliten: Feb 23 Jahafel Brigade attacked us, killed 1 and injured over 15, meanwhile we had no weapons except stones & molotov... #Libya
Zliten: Between Feb 20-23 we completely expelled regime forces from our city and burned down their security points...#Libya
Thanks @reiadh: Finally a clarification from Zliten about events there: http://j.mp/fNaaXD, I'll translate over the next few tweets.#Libya
After yesterday's battles in Brega that he witnessed, his tone changed. He was talking about their courage and bravery...!#Libya
Trevor Snapp earlier raised doubts about the rebels abilities, saying they were "a ragtag group, passionate but wihtout skills"... #Libya
I guess #Libya's revolution is as leaderless as was Tunisia's and Egypt's: http://j.mp/h1BObv
#Gaddafi soldier captured in Brega yesterday joins the revolutionaries after seeing how they treated him:http://j.mp/dGPFaQ #Libya
Brega details: Convoy moved at 6 AM. Some men were older reservists rather than active soldiers. Some say there were forced to join. #Libya
@jawattnu Some reports said that people want to move but they are still in fear. Suggested it's ripe for a revolt if not for the army there.
@hussamga Doesn't seem like it, it seems their focus is still Tripoli.
@bugpopper My fear is that the pilots who deliberately missed last time have already been executed. BTW Gaddafi is holding families hostage.
@Kuikyzinha Don't think it's a matter of awareness; it's more a matter of fear in those areas.
@NACPNE Upto 100 4x4s. Infantry armed with AK-47s, RPGs. Also anti-aircraft guns mounted on pickup trucks.

I don't have sources, but pretty sure Brega got reinforcements from Ajdabia and Benghazi. #Libya
@ChangeInLibya Unfortunately people in Tripoli don't have weapons except in parts of inner Tajura...
@ArmchairArab I'm from dust brother, and will be going there at some point ;)
@jamesadlard Don't think it's really mediation. Arabic media are calling it "peace suggestions".
@earleroberts @TheElders "#Gaddafi, face the truth. #Libya's people demand true change. You have to get out of the way." Desmond Tutu
Many people think that I'm in Tripoli. I'm not. But I'm taking it as a compliment ;) #Libya
There are reports now of live gunfire heard in Misurata. More as it clarifies. #Libya
@ArmchairArab It seems to be still ongoing. Very similar to yesterday's attack (4x4 convoy).
Got a mention on France24 here: http://j.mp/gpOoJP (at around 1:15). Now, if someone can translate that for me... #Libya
Note that I do not report all I get. You have to filter it. Background understanding is critical to know what's likely and what's not.
However the rumors did not affect the general reporting because they were discovered and corrected fairly soon.
I think anyone who's following me would know that most of my reporting has been accurate, though a few of the stories ended up being rumors.
As for the new journalism, rumor is more of a "lead". There's more tolerance for the odd story and speed/breadth becomes more important.
